LA Gardens explained!

March 13, 2019

Creating beautiful gardens and wonderful relationships. Here at LA Gardens our mission is about more than line trimming and leaf blowing. We cultivate relationships. We walk and we talk. We want to know what our client’s gardens mean to them. Then we go about creating that vision through sound horticultural techniques.

Having fun enjoying not only what we do but how we do it is the lifeline of LA Gardens. We are kind to the environment and our mantra being ‘know your client’. Every landscape is unique.  We treat each garden as an individual project. One technique used in a landscape may or may not work for another client. There are so many variables from aesthetic to simply preference. For example, some people love to see the birds playing on the sedum stalks or tall grasses in the winter. Others want a flat landscape covered with clean white snow. Both work but you have to ask the questions to understand exactly what the client wants for their landscape.

The LA Gardens team also love to learn. If you were to ask us about what course or association, we are involved with be prepared for an engaged and informed answer. We are proud members of LO (Landscape Ontario Association) and CNLA (Canadian Nursery Landscape Association). With the latest information on plants, products, techniques and legislation in our inbox daily. So many courses and seminars are offered to keep us inspired and knowledgeable about our industry.   Both Jen and I sit on the Board of Directors so you might say we are pretty invested in LO.

So we are off to Canada Blooms this week and really looking forward to seeing what the new trends and colours of the season are as well as the beautiful displays everyone works so hard to put together.  If you get a chance to get down to Toronto to see Canada Blooms as well as the Home Show it is a day well spent.

Think Spring.
